Summary
CVE-2023-37918 is a new vulnerability affecting Dapr, an event-driven runtime for building distributed applications. This issue allows bypassing of API token authentication, which is used by the Dapr sidecar to secure calls from applications. A malicious actor can craft a well-designed HTTP request to bypass this authentication, even with an invalid or missing token. Impacted users are advised to upgrade to Dapr versions 1.10.9 or 1.11.2 to mitigate this vulnerability. Currently, there are no known workarounds for this issue, which can potentially expose applications to unauthorized access.
