Summary
CVE-2023-3782 introduces a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability in the OkHttp client when using a BrotliInterceptor. This issue is triggered when accessing a malicious web server or when an attacker successfully performs Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks to inject a Brotli zip-bomb into an HTTP response. The vulnerability can result in excessive memory consumption and potential crashes, leading to service disruptions. OkHttp users are advised to apply patches or update their software to mitigate this risk.
