Summary
CVE-2023-37565 is a code injection vulnerability affecting several ELECOM wireless LAN routers, including WRC-1167GHBK-S v1.03 and earlier, WRC-1167GEBK-S v1.03 and earlier, WRC-1167FEBK-S v1.04 and earlier, WRC-1167GHBK3-A v1.24 and earlier, and WRC-1167FEBK-A v1.18 and earlier. An authenticated attacker within the network can exploit this vulnerability by sending a carefully crafted request, allowing them to execute arbitrary code. This poses a significant risk, as successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or even complete takeover of the affected device. Users are strongly advised to update their routers to the latest available firmware to mitigate this vulnerability.
