Summary
CVE-2023-37262: A vulnerability was discovered in the CC: Tweaked mod for Minecraft, affecting versions prior to 1.20.1-1.106.0, 1.19.4-1.106.0, 1.19.2-1.101.3, 1.18.2-1.101.3, and 1.16.5-1.101.3. On Minecraft servers using popular cloud hosting providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure, the cc-tweaked plugin did not block metadata services API endpoints by default. This allowed any player to potentially gain access to sensitive information on those servers, leading to pivoting or privilege escalation into the hosting provider. The affected versions have since been updated with a fix.
