Summary

CVE-2023-37262, also known as "CC: Tweaked Server Side Request Forgery," is a vulnerability found in versions 1.20.1-1.106.0, 1.19.4-1.106.0, 1.19.2-1.101.3, 1.18.2-1.101.3, and 1.16.5-1.101.3 of the CC: Tweaked mod for Minecraft. If the mod is running on a Minecraft server hosted on popular cloud hosting providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure, the metadata services API endpoints are not blacklisted by default, allowing any player to access sensitive information exposed via those metadata servers and potentially pivot or privilege escalate into the hosting provider's infrastructure. To remediate this issue, users should update to versions 1.20.1-1.106., 1..19-4-1106., 192.-11013., 118.-11013., or 116.-11013 which contain a fix for this vulnerability.
