Summary

CVE-2023-37248 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 (prior to V2201.0008) and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2302 (prior to V2302.0002). The issue lies in the application's handling of PAR files, where an out-of-bounds write occurs during parsing. This flaw can be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. (ZDI-CAN-21155) This vulnerability could potentially lead to serious consequences if exploited, including unauthorized system access and data theft. Users are strongly advised to update their Tecnomatix Plant Simulation installations as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
