Summary
CVE-2023-37195 is a vulnerability affecting various Siemens SIMATIC CP models, including the SIMATIC CP 1604, SIMATIC CP 1616, SIMATIC CP 1623, SIMATIC CP 1626, and SIMATIC CP 1628. These devices have insufficient controls over Direct Memory Access (DMA) requests, leading to a vulnerability. Local attackers with administrative privileges can exploit this weakness, causing a denial of service situation on the host. Unfortunately, a power cycle is necessary to restore affected systems to normal operation.
