Summary
A vulnerability, known as CVE-2023-37195, has been identified in various versions of SIMATIC CP devices including 1604, 1616, 1623, 1626, and 1628. These devices have insufficient control over direct memory access (DMA) requests, which can be exploited by local attackers with administrative privileges. This vulnerability could lead to a denial of service situation on the affected host. To recover from this situation, a physical power cycle is required. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 4.4 and is rated as medium severity by Siemens product certification.
