Summary

The vulnerability with the CVE ID CVE-2023-36814 affects Products.CMFCore, which is a key framework service for the Zope Content Management Framework (CMF). The vulnerability arises from the use of Python's marshal module to handle unchecked input in a public method on PortalFolder objects. This can result in an unauthenticated denial of service and crash situation. All deployments of portal software built on top of Products.CMFCore, including Plone, are vulnerable. The issue has been resolved in version 3.2 of Products.CMFCore.
