Summary
CVE-2023-36754 is a vulnerability that affects multiple versions of RUGGEDCOM ROX MX5000, RUGGEDCOM ROX MX5000RE, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1400, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1500, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1501, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1510, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1511, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1512, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1524, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1536, and RUGGEDCOM ROX RX5000. The vulnerability stems from missing server-side input sanitation in the SCEP server configuration URL parameter within the web interface of the affected devices. This flaw could allow an authenticated remote attacker with high privileges to execute arbitrary code with root privileges. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 9.1 (Critical) and poses a significant danger to affected organizations. Remediation should involve updating the affected devices to version V2.16.0 or higher.
