Summary

CVE-2023-36752 is a vulnerability that affects multiple versions of RUGGEDCOM ROX devices, including MX5000, MX5000RE, RX1400, RX1500, RX1501, RX1510, RX1511, RX1512, RX1524, RX1536, and RX5000. The vulnerability exists in the upgrade-app URL parameter of the web interface and can be exploited by an authenticated remote attacker with high privileges to execute arbitrary code with root privileges. The vulnerability is classified as critical with a CVSS score of 9.1. It is recommended to update the affected devices to version V2.16.0 or higher to remediate this vulnerability and prevent potential unauthorized code execution with elevated privileges.
