Summary

CVE-2023-36752 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting multiple RUGGEDCOM device models, including the ROX MX5000 series, ROX RX1400, ROX RX1500 series, ROX RX1510-RX1512, ROX RX1524, and ROX RX5000, all running versions below V2.16.0. The web interface of these devices contains a vulnerable upgrade-app URL parameter, which lacks server-side input sanitation. This weakness enables authenticated, privileged remote attackers to inject commands, potentially leading them to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.
