Summary

A vulnerability with the CVE ID name CVE-2023-36750 has been discovered in multiple versions of RUGGEDCOM ROX MX5000, RUGGEDCOM ROX MX5000RE, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1400, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1500, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1501, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1510, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1511, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1512, RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1524, and RUGGEDCOM ROX RX1536. The vulnerability is related to the software-upgrade Url parameter in the web interface of these devices, which lacks server-side input sanitation. This could allow a privileged remote attacker who is authenticated to execute arbitrary code with root privileges. The vulnerability poses a high risk with a base severity rating of CRITICAL and can potentially lead to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected devices.
