Summary
CVE-2023-36654 is a directory traversal vulnerability affecting ProLion CryptoSpike 3.0.15P2's log-download REST API endpoint. This issue allows authenticated attackers to gain unauthorized access to host server SSH private keys by injecting malicious paths into the API endpoint parameters. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in full compromise of the system, as the private keys are associated with a Linux root user. Attackers can potentially use these keys to establish persistent access and carry out further attacks. ProLion is advised to address this issue promptly by implementing input validation and access control measures to prevent unauthorized directory traversal.
