Summary
CVE-2023-36498 is a post-authentication command injection vulnerability affecting the PPTP client functionality of Tp-Link ER7206 Omada Gigabit VPN Router running version 1.3.0 build 20230322 Rel.70591. An attacker can exploit this issue by making a specially crafted HTTP request, which allows them to inject arbitrary commands and gain unrestricted shell access, even after successful authentication. This weakness poses a significant risk to network security and requires immediate attention from users to apply the available patch.
