Summary
CVE-2023-35818 is a vulnerability affecting Espressif ESP32 3.0 devices, specifically the ESP32_rev300 ROM. An EMFI attack on ECO3 allows an attacker to manipulate the PC value at the CPU context level, bypassing Secure Boot and Flash Encryption. This capability can be exploited to gain unauthorized access to the ROM download mode. Once in download mode, the attacker can potentially read encrypted flash content in cleartext format or execute stub code.
