Summary
CVE-2023-3581 is a vulnerability affecting Mattermost, an open-source team communication platform. The issue arises from Mattermost's failure to adequately validate the origin of incoming websocket connections. As a result, a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacker can intercept and access the platform's websocket APIs, potentially gaining unauthorized access to sensitive information or even control over the system.
