Summary
CVE-2023-35658 is a newly disclosed privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the gatt_cl.cc file in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) stacks. In the function gatt_process_prep_write_rsp, a use-after-free condition exists, allowing an attacker to potentially manipulate memory and execute arbitrary code. This vulnerability does not necessitate user interaction and can be exploited remotely in proximal or adjacent Bluetooth range, making it a significant security concern for devices using BLE technology.
