Summary
CVE-2023-35636 is a newly disclosed information disclosure vulnerability affecting Microsoft Outlook. This issue arises due to an inadequately protected feature in Outlook, potentially exposing users' email addresses and other sensitive data. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted email to a victim, who then opens the email in Outlook. Upon opening the email, the attacker may gain unauthorized access to the affected user's email address and other related information, potentially leading to further targeted attacks. Microsoft has released a patch to address this vulnerability, and users are strongly advised to install it as soon as possible to protect their systems.
