Summary

CVE-2023-35168 is a privilege bypass vulnerability in the open-source data visualization analysis tool, DataEase. This vulnerability affects multiple versions of DataEase and allows ordinary users to access the user database, exposing sensitive information such as md5 hashes of passwords, usernames, email addresses, and phone numbers. The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.18.8, and users are advised to upgrade to this version. There are no known workarounds for the vulnerability. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is high as it can lead to unauthorized access and compromise of user data within an organization.
