Summary

CVE-2023-3514 is a vulnerability in RazerCentralService named pipe in Razer RazerCentral version 7.11.0.558 and earlier on Windows operating systems. This vulnerability allows a local malicious actor to gain SYSTEM privilege by communicating with the named pipe as a low-privilege user and executing arbitrary executable files through the "AddModule" or "UninstallModules" command. The vulnerability has a base severity score of 7.8 and poses a high risk to organizations as it can lead to unauthorized access, compromise of integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive data. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their RazerCentral software to the latest version available to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
