Summary

CVE-2023-3499 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Photo Gallery, Images, Slider component of the Rbs Image Gallery WordPress plugin. Before version 3.2.16, this plugin fails to sanitize and escape certain settings, allowing high privilege users, including administrators, to inject malicious scripts. This issue persists even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed in multisite configurations. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access or data exfiltration. Users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
