Details
Summary
CVE-2023-3492 is a vulnerability affecting the WP Shopping Pages plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 1.14 and below, allows unauthenticated attackers to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks against logged-in admin users. The vulnerability stems from the absence of Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) checks and insufficient sanitisation and escaping mechanisms in certain plugin functions. Successful exploitation could result in injecting malicious scripts into the affected WordPress site, potentially leading to data theft or unauthorised user actions. Users are advised to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
