Summary
CVE-2023-34610 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting json-io, a popular JSON library, up to version 4.14.0. This issue enables attackers to trigger a denial-of-service or unspecified other impacts by sending a specially crafted object with cyclic dependencies to the targeted system. The vulnerability arises due to inadequate handling of such objects, allowing potential misuse and causing potential disruptions to applications that rely on json-io. Users are advised to update their json-io libraries to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
