Summary

CVE-2023-34461 is a vulnerability affecting PyBB, an open-source bulletin board system. Malicious users with posting privileges could exploit this issue by submitting malicious HTML tags, such as `<a>` tags, which could run client-side JavaScript code. For instance, `<a href=javascript:alert (1)>xss</a>` could be used for cross-site scripting attacks. The vulnerability has been patched in commit `5defd92`, and users are strongly advised to upgrade to the latest version, 0.1.1.
