Summary

CVE-2023-34457, also known as the MechanicalSoup vulnerability, affects all users of MechanicalSoup's form submission prior to version 1.3.0. This Python library for automating website interaction allows a malicious web server to read arbitrary files on the client by using an HTML form with the `<input type="file"...>` element. The vulnerability can be remediated by updating to version 1.3.0, which contains a patch for this issue.
