Summary
CVE-2023-34356 is a critical vulnerability affecting the data.cgi xfer_dns functionality in peplink Surf SOHO HW1 v6.3.5, when run in QEMU. This OS command injection issue allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands by crafting a specific HTTP request. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can result in serious security consequences, including unauthorized system access and data theft. It is strongly recommended that users of the affected version upgrade to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
