Summary
CVE-2023-3428 is a recently identified buffer overflow vulnerability affecting ImageMagick's TIFF coding module, specifically located in the coders/tiff.c file. An attacker can exploit this heap-based issue by creating a maliciously crafted TIFF file and inducing the user to open it. Successful exploitation may lead to an application crash and, consequently, a denial of service.
