Summary
CVE-2023-34044 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting VMware Workstation versions 17.x before 17.5 and Fusion versions 13.x before 13.5. This issue involves an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the functionality for sharing Bluetooth devices between the host and virtual machine. An attacker with local administrative privileges on a virtual machine can exploit this weakness to read privileged information from the hypervisor memory, posing a significant security risk.
