Summary

CVE-2023-34035: Spring Security versions 5.8, 6.0, and 6.1, prior to their respective patch releases, contain a vulnerability that allows for authorization rule misconfiguration. This issue arises when an application uses Spring MVC, Spring Security to secure multiple servlets, and refers to endpoints not belonging to Spring MVC using requestMatchers(String). Applications are not vulnerable if they do not utilize Spring MVC, secure only DispatcherServlet, or confine requestMatchers(String) to Spring MVC endpoints.
