Summary

CVE-2023-33866 is a use-after-free vulnerability in Foxit Software's PDF Reader version 12.1.2.15332. This vulnerability can be exploited by a specially crafted PDF document that triggers the reuse of previously freed memory, leading to arbitrary code execution. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker needs to trick the user into opening the malicious file or visit a malicious site with the browser plugin extension enabled. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as HIGH, with a CVSS score of 8.8, posing a significant danger to organizations' confidentiality and integrity.
