Summary
CVE-2023-35846: A vulnerability has been identified in the VirtualSquare picoTCP software version 2.1 and below. This issue allows an attacker to bypass port filtering without checking the transport layer length in a frame, potentially leading to unauthorized access or denial of service attacks. The software does not adequately verify frame lengths before applying port filters, posing a security risk for affected systems. Organizations using picoTCP are advised to update to the latest version or apply a workaround to mitigate this vulnerability.
