Summary
CVE-2023-33098 is a transient Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) Implementations. When these implementations parse IEEE 802.11 Information Elements (IES), they may encounter IES packets with a longer length than expected. This misalignment can lead to a buffer overflow, causing a DoS condition. The vulnerability can potentially be exploited by an attacker within range of the affected network to cause intermittent disruptions.
