Summary

CVE-2023-32616 is a use-after-free vulnerability in Foxit Reader 12.1.2.15356 that affects 3D annotations. This vulnerability allows a specially crafted Javascript code in a malicious PDF document to trigger the reuse of a previously freed object, leading to memory corruption and arbitrary code execution. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker needs to trick the user into opening the malicious file or visiting a specially crafted, malicious site with the browser plugin extension enabled. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of HIGH and poses a significant danger to organizations as it can result in unauthorized code execution and compromise the integrity and confidentiality of affected systems.
