Summary

CVE-2023-32479 is a privilege escalation vulnerability found in Dell Encryption, Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise, and Dell Security Management Server versions prior to 11.9.0. This vulnerability occurs due to improper access control of the non-default installation directory. An attacker with local access could exploit this vulnerability by replacing binaries in the installed directory, allowing them to gain privileged access and potentially execute malicious actions on the system.
