Summary

CVE-2023-3222 is a vulnerability affecting the Password Recovery plugin for Roundcube in its 1.2 version. This issue lies in the password recovery mechanism where a remote attacker can manipulate a 6-digit numeric token to change an existing user's password. The attacker can exploit this vulnerability by creating an automated script to test various token values with no limit on the number of requests, posing a significant security risk.
