Summary

CVE-2023-32184 is a new vulnerability affecting the opensuse-welcome package in openSUSE. This Insecure Storage of Sensitive Information issue permits local attackers to execute code if a custom layout is chosen in opensuse-welcome. The vulnerability exists in versions of opensuse-welcome prior to 0.1.9+git.35.4b9444a. Attackers can exploit this flaw to gain elevated privileges on the system. Users are advised to update their opensuse-welcome package as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
