Summary
CVE-2023-31441 is a vulnerability affecting NATO Communications and Information Agency's anet, also known as Advisor Network, up to version 3.3.0. An attacker can exploit this issue by supplying a malicious JSON file to the sanitizeJson function. The vulnerability stems from an issue with the Unicode replacement character U+FFFD and a for loop that fails to account for modifications to data structures during loop execution. This can result in an exception being thrown, potentially allowing the attacker to gain unintended access or execute malicious code.
