Summary
CVE-2023-3108 is a local vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's interface for symmetric key cipher algorithms in the skcipher_recvmsg function of crypto/algif_skcipher.c. This issue, specifically located in the subsequent get_user_pages_fast function, can lead to a system crash when exploited. By manipulating this part of the Linux kernel, a local user gains the ability to induce the system to crash.
