Summary
CVE-2023-30805 is a critical vulnerability affecting the Sangfor Next-Gen Application Firewall version NGAF8.0.17. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a maliciously crafted HTTP POST request to the /LogInOut.php endpoint without authentication. The vulnerability stems from the improper handling of shell meta-characters in the "un" parameter, enabling an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary operating system commands. Successful exploitation could lead to significant security implications, including unauthorized system access and data theft. Organizations running affected versions of the Sangfor Next-Gen Application Firewall are strongly advised to update to a patched version as soon as possible.
