Summary

CVE-2023-30633 is a vulnerability found in the TrEEConfigDriver in Insyde InsydeH2O with kernel 5.0 through 5.5. This vulnerability allows a device to report false TPM PCR values, which can mask malware activity. The affected products include tOMHRr, t9y8Yw, i5NTh8, lRyF0y, i5NTh7, i5NTh6, t9y8Yu, and t9y8Yv. To remediate this vulnerability, physical access to the victim's device or compromise of user credentials is required. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is that a vulnerable device can impersonate a healthy device by extending arbitrary values into the Platform Configuration Register (PCR) banks. This vulnerability has a medium base severity score of 5.3 and a high integrity impact level.
