Details
Summary
CVE-2023-29425 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting versions 4.9.23 and below of the ShiftController Employee Shift Scheduling plugin on plainware.com. This issue allows attackers to trick victims into performing unintended actions on the web application, potentially leading to sensitive data disclosure or unauthorized modifications. The attacker can craft a malicious request that, when executed by the victim, will appear to originate from the victim's own browser, bypassing same-origin policy restrictions. This vulnerability poses a serious threat to the security of employee shift schedules and data privacy. It is strongly recommended that affected users upgrade to a patched version of the plugin as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
