Summary
CVE-2023-29358 is a newly disclosed Windows GDI (Graphics Device Interface) vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this Elevation of Privilege (EoP) flaw to gain higher system access, potentially enabling them to install unauthorized software, view, change, or delete sensitive information, and perform other malicious activities. This vulnerability occurs due to insufficient input validation in the GDI component, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code. Microsoft is encouraging users to apply the available patch to mitigate this risk and protect their systems.
