Summary
CVE-2023-29062 is a vulnerability affecting the FACSChorus application on certain Operating Systems. When user credentials are transmitted, the OS fails to validate the identity of the requested resource adequately. This issue is exploitable through LLMNR, MBT-NS, or MDNS, allowing malicious entities on the local network to intercept and capture NTLMv2 hashed user credentials. These hashes are vulnerable to brute force attacks and can be cracked if weak passwords are used, posing a significant risk for domain-joined systems.
