Summary

CVE-2023-28468 is a vulnerability discovered in FvbServicesRuntimeDxe in Insyde InsydeH2O with kernel versions 5.0 through 5.5. This vulnerability allows an attacker to interact with the SPI flash at runtime from the OS, by exploiting an SMI handler exposed by the FvbServicesRuntimeDxe SMM module. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of MEDIUM with a base score of 6.5 according to [email protected]. The affected products include o5g5Fx, o5g5Fw, o5g5Fz, o5g5Fy, o5g5F0, and o5g5Fv.
