Summary

CVE-2023-2819 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in Proofpoint Threat Response/Threat Response Auto Pull (PTR/TRAP) Sources UI. This vulnerability allows an authenticated administrator on an adjacent network to replace the image file with any MIME type, resulting in the execution of arbitrary JavaScript code in an admin context. All versions prior to 5.10.0 of Proofpoint Threat Response/Threat Response Auto Pull are affected by this vulnerability. The base severity is rated as MEDIUM with a CVSS score of 4.3, and the privileges required for exploitation are high. Remediation for this vulnerability involves updating to version 5.10.0 or later of the affected products.
