Summary

CVE-2023-27869 is a vulnerability affecting IBM Db2 JDBC Driver for Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5. This vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system through an unchecked logger injection. By exploiting this vulnerability using a specially crafted request with the named traceFile property, an attacker can execute arbitrary code on the system. The severity of this vulnerability is rated as high, with a base score of 8.8 according to NIST's National Vulnerability Database (NVD). It requires low privileges and no user interaction, making it dangerous as it can lead to unauthorized code execution and compromise the integrity and confidentiality of the affected organization's systems.
