Summary

CVE-2023-2783 is a vulnerability in the Mattermost Apps Framework that allows an attacker to modify the contents of a post sent by the Apps by exploiting the failure of the framework to verify a secret provided in the incoming webhook request. The vulnerability affects multiple products including rkr3Vl, rEZdMO, rkr3Vk, rEZdMN, rkr3Vm, rkr3Vh, rkr3Vg, rkr3Vf, rkr3Ve, and rkr3Vo. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update the affected products to a patched version provided by Mattermost. This vulnerability poses a medium risk to organizations as it could potentially allow unauthorized modification of posts within the Mattermost platform.
