Summary
CVE-2023-27523 is a vulnerability that affects Apache Superset versions up to and including 2.1.0. This vulnerability allows an authenticated user to execute queries on database tables that they may not have access to, due to improper data authorization checks on Jinja templated queries. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is that it can lead to unauthorized access and manipulation of sensitive data in an organization's databases. To remediate the vulnerability, organizations should update their Apache Superset installations to a version beyond 2.1.0 where the issue has been resolved.
