Summary

CVE-2023-26436 is a vulnerability that affects multiple products, including afF9s9, afF9s_, afF9s-, r_8QfP, and more. Attackers with access to the "documentconverterws" API were able to inject serialized Java objects that were not properly checked during deserialization. This API endpoint is typically restricted to local networks. However, if exploited, arbitrary code could be injected and executed during request processing. To remediate this vulnerability, a check has been introduced to restrict the processing of illegal classes, and warnings are logged for attempts to inject such classes. No publicly available exploits are known at this time. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is significant, with high impact on integrity and confidentiality as well as a high availability impact rating.
