CVSS 3.1 Score 9.8 of 10 (high)
Details
Summary
CVE-2023-2635 is a vulnerability affecting the Call Now Accessibility Button WordPress plugin before version 1.1. This issue allows high privilege users, including admins, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, bypassing the unfiltered_html capability restriction, even in multisite setups. The plugin fails to properly sanitize and escape certain settings, making it possible for attackers to inject malicious scripts into WordPress sites. This weakness could potentially lead to serious security breaches, as the injected scripts could be used to steal sensitive information or take control of the affected site. It is strongly recommended that users of the Call Now Accessibility Button plugin upgrade to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
