Summary

CVE-2023-26222 is a vulnerability found in the Web Application component of TIBCO Software Inc.'s TIBCO EBX and TIBCO Product and Service Catalog powered by TIBCO EBX. It allows a low privileged attacker with network access to execute a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack on the affected system. The affected releases include TIBCO EBX versions 5.9.22 and below, versions 6.0.13 and below, as well as TIBCO Product and Service Catalog powered by TIBCO EBX versions 5.0.0 and below. To remediate this vulnerability, users are advised to update to the latest version of the affected software or apply patches provided by TIBCO Software Inc. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is that an attacker could inject malicious scripts into web pages viewed by users, leading to unauthorized access, data theft, or further compromise of the affected system.
