Details
Summary
CVE-2023-26146 is a vulnerability affecting all versions of the ithewei/libhv package. This issue allows for Cross-site Scripting (XSS) attacks, enabling malicious actors to inject malicious code into a user's web browser when a file with a maliciously named payload is served by the application. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient sanitization of filenames when they are rendered, making it easy for adversaries to exploit this weakness and potentially gain unauthorized access or steal sensitive information from unsuspecting users. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the ithewei/libhv package to mitigate this risk and prevent potential XSS attacks.
